Paying
All treatment is private and fee-paying. Payment is due at the end of each session by debit card, or beforehand by bank transfer. We don't accept credit cards.
Health insurance
Our osteopaths are registered with all major private healthcare providers, including BUPA, AXA PPP, Cigna, Aviva and WPA. We'll need your policy number, name and authorisation or claim reference. Most insurers ask for a referral from your GP before treatment starts, so please check with yours. If you have a health cash plan, you may be able to claim back the cost of osteopathy, physiotherapy, psychotherapy, massage and acupuncture.
No referral is needed if you're paying for yourself.
Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers are available from Belmont House Clinic for osteopathy and physiotherapy, from SD Massage for all types of massage, and from Jane Brockbank Acupuncture for acupuncture.
Cancellation policy
Please give at least 48 hours' notice if you can't keep an appointment. If no one can take your call, leave a message on our 24-hour answering service. The full treatment fee is payable if you don't give 48 hours' notice.
Chaperone policy
You're welcome to bring a friend or relative into your treatment. If you'd like the clinic to provide a chaperone, please say when you book so a convenient appointment can be arranged. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Complaints
If you have a complaint or concern about your care from an osteopath or any member of staff, please let us know. We follow the complaints guidance of the Institute of Osteopathy, and we promise to treat your complaint seriously, resolve it promptly and in confidence, and learn from it to improve our service.
You can complain to the receptionist or the practice principal, Nina Leadbeater, in person, by phone, by email (info@bristolosteopaths.co.uk) or by letter. We'll investigate within the following few days and aim to find out what went wrong, give you an explanation and apology where appropriate, reach a fair solution, and stop it happening again.
If you don't feel your complaint has been resolved, you can talk to the Institute of Osteopathy on 01582 488455 or email enquiries@osteopathy.org. A full copy of our complaints procedure is available in reception or by calling 0117 377 0518.
